Eight-Channel Network Amplifiers
Subscribe to CX E-News
QSC has expanded the options for Q-SYS network power amplification with a range of eight channel units. Designed specifically for integration with the Q-SYS Platform, these new amplifiers take advantage of a ‘whole system’ design philosophy where they can be configured and managed just like any other Q-SYS element.
Like the four channel CXD4 amps the eight channel versions also feature QSC’s Flexible Amplifier Summing Technology™, so that channels can be combined for higher outputs across fewer outputs.
CXD8.8 models deliver up to 8,000w peak and 5,000w continuous with low-Z, 70v or 100v direct drive available on all channels. CXD8.4 models deliver around half this power.
Two versions of each amplifier size are available. CXD8.8Q and CXD8.4Q offer eight mic/line inputs directly on the back of the amplifier so that remote Q-SYS system inputs and outputs are located in a single device. But as a cost saving option where only network amplification is required CXD8.8Qn and CXD8.4Qn only offer network inputs. Both models include eight bi-directional GPIO connections that can be used for analog or digital inputs or outputs to/from the Q-SYS Platform.
Housed in a 2RU chassis all CXD Series amplifiers include built-in energy saving modes ensuring running cost efficiency without sacrificing performance.
Prices start at $7,999 for the CXD8.4Qn and range to $10,999 for the CXD8.8Q. QSC is distributed in Australia by Technical Audio Group, 43-53 Bridge Road, STANMORE NSW 2048. Phone (02) 9519 0900. Email: info@tag.com.au www.tag.com.au
