About the Role
As Venue Planning Manager, you will assist the Head of Venue Planning by managing venue hire enquiries, bookings and diary planning for the various venues at Arts Centre Melbourne, with a particular focus on Hamer Hall. You’ll work with the Account Management team to ensure accurately detailed handovers occur and address presenter and event issues as they arise. Other responsibilities will include advising on, evaluating and budgeting for new opportunities, managing performing arts projects, contributing to ongoing process improvements, and supporting the wider event delivery teams.
Full time ongoing position. Band 4.1 Salary $97,159.92 p.a. plus superannuation.
Your Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Relevant qualification in arts, event or venue management, or equivalent professional experience in the entertainment industry, event or venue management.
- Advanced understanding of event delivery processes in a major performing arts environment, and ability to identify and implement continuous process improvements
- Exceptional attention to detail and time management/prioritisation skills
- Exceptional ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated capability and initiative in the planning and facilitation of events with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously
- Ability to deliver a high level of customer service with a proactive approach to problem solving
- Demonstrated ability to identify and maximise commercial opportunities
- Competent in using Ungerboeck (Momentus), Microsoft Office suite, DocuSign and Adobe programs
- Established relationships with relevant industry networks, Presenters, promoters, artists and commercial partners is desirable

The Presenter Services team is responsible for the effective planning, sales and event management of activities by all hirers of Arts Centre Melbourne venues, as well as exploring opportunities for business growth and collaboration with our Presenters.
