The Brisbane Entertainment Centre are currently seeking an experienced Technical Supervisor – Audio Visual.
Key Responsibilities:
The Technical Supervisor – Audio Visual role is primarily to provide support to the Technical Coordinator and Technical Manager through rostering and supervision of casual Technical staff and equipment, training and development of staff, provide technical support during events, liaising with Hirer’s representatives and other staff to ascertain their requirements for events, functions, meetings, training and other activities as required.

As the successful candidate, you will possess the following skills and key attributes:
- A minimum of 2 years experience working in a large venue;
- Knowledge/experience of current audio and visual equipment and computer software;
- Excellent communication and planning skills;
- Knowledge of Entertainment lighting systems;
- Flexibility with working hours;
- Physically fit;
- Strong commitment to Workplace Health & Safety;
- Strong computer literacy and experience working with Microsoft Office;
- Ability to embrace diversity, build rapport and communicate effectively at all levels;
- Ability to relate to people of all types and cultures;
- Present in a professional & corporate manner at all times;
- Excellent organisational skills with ability to manage multiple projects and tasks in an ever changing environment;
- Display a strong work ethic, ability to work independently as well as cohesively within a team environment.
Essential qualifications & licences:
- Current Intermediate Rigging Licence;
- Working at heights;
- Current forklift licence;
- Current First Aid & CPR.
The successful candidate will be required to complete a National Police Check.
ABOUT THE VENUE
Built by the Brisbane City Council as a world class multipurpose facility, the Brisbane Entertainment Centre formed part of Brisbane’s bid for the 1992 Olympic Games. The Centre has been operated since its inception by ASM Global (formerly AEG Ogden Brisbane Pty Ltd). Ownership was transferred to Stadiums Queensland (formerly Major Sports Facilities Authority) from 1 July 2002.
The Brisbane Entertainment Centre has hosted a diverse range of events including Monster Trucks, Supercross, Circuses, Bull Riding, Concerts, Conventions, School Speech Nights, Ice Spectaculars, Wrestling and Boxing.
Primarily recognised as a venue to host concerts, family shows and sporting events, the Brisbane Entertainment Centre also specialises in staging corporate events in particular conferences, seminars, product launches and gala banquets.

Working in the venue and event industry means supporting the delivery of events across our event calendar. This means that weekend, evening and public holiday work will be required.
