Audio Visual/Home Automation Programmer

About the role
We are seeking a skilled Audio Visual Programmer to join our team at Kayder’ in our Caringbah office. In this role, you will build and develop custom AV and integration programs. On top of the programming role you will provide technical support, troubleshoot issues for existing sites.

You will leverage your programming experience to customise and integrate complex systems. You’ll be responsible for ensuring our clients’ technology run smoothly, all while providing outstanding customer service. This role will mainly be office based, with occasional site visits. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide remote support for home automation, AV, and security systems.
• Program and customise automation systems using platforms like Crestron, Control4, and RTI.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with hardware, software, and system integrations.
• Assist with the installation and setup of smart devices and AV equipment.
• Develop custom scripts and system integrations to meet clients’ specific needs.
• Maintain detailed records of support requests, actions taken, and resolutions.
• Collaborate with installation teams and project managers to ensure successful project delivery.
• Train clients and internal teams on system usage and troubleshooting.

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong programming skills in SIMPL Windows, Q-SYS (and other DSP’s) and networking.
• Experience with platforms like Crestron, Control4, RTI, or similar systems would be beneficial.
• Solid understanding of home automation, AV, and networking.
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
• Excellent communication skills and customer-focused approach.
• Ability to maintain detailed documentation and work collaboratively within a team.
• Previous experience in a support technician or systems integration role is a plus.
