Syntec and beyerdynamic cozy up to Ingram Micro

As of now (October 2016) SYNCHRONISED TECHNOLOGY PTY LTD (Syntec) is the authorised import and distribution partner for the full portfolio of beyerdynamic products; including, but not limited to headphones, headsets and microphones being for both wired and wireless systems for use in both mobile and installed applications.

This opens a fascinating battle for market share, given the previous iteration of Syntec was, of course, the Sennheiser distributor until the manufacturer bought the business and set up as Sennheiser Australia. The Syntec family led by Bob Sloss retired and served out their non compete period.

“Being appointed the authorised import and distribution partner for the full range of beyerdynamic products in both Australia and New Zealand gives us the opportunity to utilize our long-term knowledge and understanding of the markets to secure continued growth across numerous business segments” says Michael Sloss, Managing Director.

CX saw first hand that they hold considerable stock at their new French’s Forest warehouse in Sydney’s north. They are aggressively advertising for sales professionals as well.

Now it gets interesting, because as Michael explains further; “It is with great pleasure that we take this opportunity to announce that Syntec has formed a strategic partnership with Ingram Micro Australia and New Zealand to be the official distribution partner for several of beyerdynamic’s installation and conferencing microphone product lines that align with Ingram’s strategic approach to both complete installation and integration solutions.

Ingram is a powerhouse distributor of IT and AV and their knowledge of the of the Australian A industry, their infrastructure, supply chain capabilities and dedicated AV sales and product management team, make them a perfect channel partner for the installation and integration arena.

“We are extremely excited to be involved with this strategic alliance with Syntec and beyerdynamic. We look forward to introducing these high quality products to our customer base and further strengthen the development of the beyerdynamic range in the region” says Andrew Upshon, General Manager – Professional AV ANZ.
