ATH-M70x is the new flagship model in Audio-Technicas’ acclaimed M-Series range of professional monitor headphones. Designed specifically to bring out added detail in the mix, these new headphones feature proprietary 45mm large-aperture drivers with rare earth magnets and copper-clad aluminium wire voice coils.
Tuned to accurately reproduce extreme low and high frequencies (5 to 40,000Hz), while maintaining perfect balance, M70x are ideal for studio mixing and tracking, mastering, post production and audio forensics. Far from flattering, the mid-range detail of the M70x reveals all that is good or bad in a mix
Crafted for lasting durability with a collapsible, space-saving design, M70x is equipped with 90° swiveling earcups for easy, one-ear monitoring. Maximum power input is 2,000mW, meaning very low distortion at even high volumes. Earpads and headband provide excellent comfort and durability, and detach for easy replacement.
As with the other models in the M-Series range, M70x is a circumaural design with pads contouring around the ears for minimum bleed and excellent sound isolation in loud environments. A hard carry case is included along with three interchangeable cables (1.2 – 3m coiled and 3m and 1.2m straight cables).
M70x will be available in February 2015 with a retail price of $399.
