Experienced Audio Visual Technician Position Available at SKS Technologies

SKS Technologies is seeking a full-time, experienced Audio Visual technician with exceptional installation and commissioning skills to join our Perth AV team. 

This role is perfect for a proactive individual eager to progress in their career within a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation of new AV equipment and associated cabling in a variety of environments – primarily in commercial office fitouts.
  • Retrofit new AV systems in conference rooms and shared spaces.
  • Testing and commissioning equipment after installation.
  • Provide onsite service, including fault identification and technical diagnosis.
  • Configure, evaluate, upgrade, repair, test, and troubleshoot equipment efficiently and effectively.
  • Maintain documentation and conduct preventive maintenance
  • Demonstrate awareness and understanding of technical specifications and system schematics.

Qualifications:

  • Positive work attitude and outstanding interpersonal skills.
  • Systematic and thorough approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong knowledge of diverse audio visual systems and technologies.
  • Relevant industry certifications and a proven track record of successful AV skillset.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the audio visual industry.
  • Experience with a variety of audio visual projects, including commercial construction sites.
  • Experience with video conferencing hardware.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Construction White Card.
  • Ability to pass a Police Check.

Additional Qualifications (Preferred but not mandatory):

  • Government and/or Defence clearances.
  • Experience with Crestron products.
  • Additional experience in networking, DSP, or system commissioning.
  • Crestron Digital Media, Extron AV, Biamp Tesira, and Q-sys Level 1 certifications.
  • Open Reg Cabling license.
