We are Xzibit, an Australian leader in the design and build of high-end exhibition stands, museum exhibits, and visitor centre displays. Our in-house team provides an end-to-end service, working with clients from initial inquiry through creative development, design, production, and onsite installation. We’ve had the privilege of working on prestigious projects like Star Wars, Lego, Boeing, Volvo, and Magic Millions, delivering exceptional outcomes that leave lasting impressions.

About the Role

In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of delivering high-quality AV solutions that exceed our clients’ expectations. You’ll be a key player in bringing our clients’ visions to life, from conceptualisation and inventory management to the meticulous preparation and installation of our cutting-edge AV and LED equipment.

$70,000 – $80,000 per year

What You’ll Do

• Design AV and LED solutions for diverse projects.

• Manage and maintain our hire and installation inventory of AV and LED equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and availability.

• Prepare and test AV and LED equipment for installations.

• Perform onsite installation, setup, and troubleshooting of AV and LED systems.

• Collaborate with the design and production teams to integrate AV and LED elements seamlessly.

• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients and provide technical support and training to clients and internal teams. 

• Maintain and update technical documentation and equipment records.

• Integrate LED lighting and other AV hardware into our joinery

Technical Expertise

• Expertise in video display technologies, including Novastar based LED walls and projection systems.

• Knowledge of playback and control systems such as Qsys, Brightsign and Windows media players.

• Proficiency in configuring and operating basic audio systems.

• Experience with signal flow and cabling management.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.

• Understanding of lighting and power distribution in AV setups.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an AV and LED Technician in a professional environment.

• Relevant certifications or qualifications in audio-visual technology (preferred).

• Valid driver’s license.

• Experience with large scale LED installs.

• Technical proficiency in AV and LED equipment operation and maintenance.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines. 1  

• Proficient in using AV software and hardware.
