Microhire is seeking an Event Services Manager, to be based in our Melbourne venues, servicing one of our 5 Star CBD venue partners. In this role you will provide consultation, sell the audio visual component and manage the technical delivery of events within an in-house venue operation.

You will be empowered to control and develop the technology in every function space in the venue to deliver events that you can take pride in, and gain satisfaction by exceeding the clients’ expectations.

About the role:

  • Support clients in planning and organising their corporate events
  • With the support of the production team and an on-site technician, consult and design lighting, sound, visual, staging, rigging and virtual technical requirements according to the client’s scope.
  • Oversee the delivery of events from concept through to seamless execution.
  • Nurture long-term relationship with the venue partner.
  • Provide a high level customer service experience to our clients
  • Adhere to internal sales processes 
  • Co-ordinate technical resources and adhere to Work Health Safety procedures.

Essential experience:

  • Proven experience as an Event Services Manager, min 2 years’ experience (preferred)
  • Must have theoretical and/or practical knowledge of audio, visual and sound
  • Previous technical experience in live corporate events is highly regarded 
  • Knowledge of virtual/hybrid technology (advantageous)
  • Completing administrative documents and invoicing
  • Be literate in computer skills 
  • Previous experience with Rental Point (advantageous)
  • Strong interpersonal and proactive sales skills
  • Visio or CAD experience is advantageous, not required
