Join a dynamic and growing events company working with cutting-edge audiovisual equipment across a range of exciting venues. We’re on the lookout for a skilled and motivated AV Technician to join our team and help deliver exceptional experiences to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and operate a wide range of audiovisual equipment including:
  • PA systems
  • Large screen projection and LED walls
  • Intelligent lighting systems
  • Staging and draping
• Bench test, prepare, and program equipment before events
• Maintain equipment and cables, ensuring they’re event-ready
• Safely load and transport delicate AV gear
• Lead crews, manage freelancers and subcontractors
• Troubleshoot technical issues under pressure
• Deliver excellent customer service onsite
• Work flexible hours, including early mornings, late nights, and weekends
• Follow OHS protocols across multiple venues

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in the corporate AV hire/events industry
• A valid manual driver’s license
• Ability to work under pressure in high-stakes environments
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Flexibility with work hours
• Professional appearance and presentation
• A proactive, can-do attitude

Desirable Skills (Not Essential, But a Big Plus)

• EWP (Elevated Work Platform) license
• Soldering and cable repair skills
• Understanding of networking protocols
• Experience with the following equipment/software:
  • Allen & Heath audio consoles
  • GrandMA and other lighting controllers
  • Roland vision mixers and switchers
  • vMix for streaming and vision control
  • Wireless Workbench for UHF frequency management
  • Video mapping and blending techniques
