Sale & Business Development Manager

Base Salary + Super + Commission

NEP Live Events operates as part of a global company with over 4700 employees worldwide in both broadcasting and live events. In Australia & New Zealand we specialise is ensuring technology helps support a range of live events. Due to success and planned expansion, we are looking to hire a Sales & Business Development Manager with the role capable of being located anywhere. This is a special opportunity for a seasoned sales person with strong industry contacts to join, develop and take full ownership of the sales process and help take the business to the next level.

Responsibilities:

  • Full sales cycle, prospecting to close
  • Prospecting; researching and leveraging contacts in the market that may involve some cold calling
  • Run effective discovery sessions and present value proposition
  • Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline
  • Respond to incoming leads and interest from industry stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Proven commercial business development experience
  • Technology sales experience
  • Experience selling into the live events industry (highly desirable)
  • Experience across the full sales cycle from prospecting to close
  • Experience with business development tools (e.g. Salesforce)

 

Non-technical requirements:

  • Proactive sales mentality, you aren’t afraid of BD/outbound sales
  • Methodical & strategic BD/sales approach
  • Strong understanding of how to run an efficient sales process
  • Focused on long term relationships
  • Understand what needs to be done based on pipeline status
  • Customer-focused approach
  • Strong communication skills
  • High commitment to quality (no shortcuts)
  • Team player, support and guide peers as well as working with Project Managers and others in the team.
