Adelaide Venue Management Corporation (AVM) operates three of Adelaide’s most iconic and commercially successful event venues – the Adelaide Convention Centre (ACC), Adelaide Entertainment Centre (AEC) and Coopers Stadium (CS).
Predominantly working at the Adelaide Convention Centre, which sits proudly in the Riverbank Precinct. It is rapidly evolving to create a vibrant hub for Adelaide, incorporating new research, health and medical centres, educational institutions, sport, entertainment, convention and event facilities. A rare opportunity exists for a career minded audio visual professional to work with the best of Adelaide’s business, conferencing and banqueting events.
About the role:
We are looking for dynamic and passionate Audio Visual professionals to join our team as a Senior Audio Visual Technician – Audio, Lighting or Vision, on a permeant part time basis. As an experienced Senior AV Technician, you will join our fast-paced team and work across our state-of-the-art venue. No two days will be the same and you will be instrumental in creating unforgettable experiences.
Key responsibilities:
- Bump in/out, operate, monitor and maintain AV production across all AV applications venue wide
- Lead AV teams on the floor to provide high quality service for all events hosted at ACC
- Customer centric and excellent customer service skills
- Execution of hybrid and virtual events
- Networking (AES67 Artnet, NDI experience)
- Develop innovative product offerings in conjunction with the leadership team
- Specialist skills in one of the key disciplines

- Advanced Audio Systems – configuration and operation
- Designed Lighting Systems – set up and operation
- Vision Switching, Projection Systems (blending and warping) and LED Screens
About you:
- Minimum of 5 years working as a technician or similar
- Passionate about delivering technical excellence
- Knowledge and experience within corporate AV and the live entertainment industry
- Able to work autonomously while leading and guiding others
- Specialist knowledge in either Audio, Lighting or Vision, with general knowledge across the key disciplines
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
- Positive & proactive mindset
- Availability and flexibility in working hours, with after hours and weekend work.

- Minimum of 15 hours per week, however given the current level of forward event bookings, will more often be closer to full time hours
