Staging Connections – industry leaders in training

Staging Connections have cemented their position as the Australian event industry’s leader in training and development, having received accreditation to deliver the newly created CUA30413 Certificate III in Live Production and Services qualification.

Staging Connections has been a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) since 2004 and with the addition of the CUA30413 qualification to their scope, this positions them as the only organisation currently accredited to deliver the qualification.

To better reflect the skills and knowledge demanded by industry, a review of the old CUE training package was undertaken by Innovation and Business Skills Australia (IBSA) in 2011. Throughout 2012 Staging Connections actively participated in a review of the proposed new training package, ensuring it would be relevant for the needs of the industry today and into the future.

Vanessa Porter, General Manager – Human Resources, Staging Connections explains what the latest addition to the training and development program means for the organisation, “We take our responsibility as a leader in the industry very seriously and one of our continued objectives is the ongoing training and development of our teams to ensure every event is the best it can be,” Ms Porter said.

“Our new qualification is the perfect advancement from the previous CUE30203 Live Production, Theatre and Events qualification that we’ve been offering for almost 10 years. This new qualification offers an enviable skillset and employability that will position our teams ahead of their industry peers,” Ms Porter added.

Trainees who join the Staging Connections team in early 2014 will be the first across the country to undertake the new qualification.
