Vale Brian Inglis

FUNERAL DETAILS AT END

Queensland audio veteran Brian Inglis died in his sleep on Christmas Eve, without indication of illness.

He spent the evening watching soccer and went to bed early. Marg his wife woke and noticed Brian hadn’t been up to have his usual cup of tea, and she found him at 5.40am. She called the ambulance and they said he’d been gone for some time. His father passed away under similar circumstances.

Brian was aged 63. He is survived by Marg, and their adult son Landon along with daughter Katie.

Workmate Mick Privitera met Brian when Mick ran Queensland keyboards in 1978, which became Musicians Pro Shop in 1979. “I worked with him for 29 years till I sold the business. He was very knowledgeable about  audio equipment and electronics, a jack of all trades and a master as well. He shared his knowledge. It’s a cliche – but he had no enemies, and was very pleasant to everyone.”

Funeral details: 12 noon, Monday 6 January

Great Southern Memorial Park, 1774 Mt Cotton rd, Carbrook, Brisbane.
